About Abby

Abby Covalin is a Mexican-American, Jewish actor. She was born and raised in San Diego, California and grew up in a bilingual household (Spanish & English). She is recently received  her BFA in Musical Theater at Ohio University. She has been training in musical theater since she was 8 years old, and before that she was performing for every mirror she came across. 

     

On stage Abby is a grounded performer with lots of sassy and bubbly energy. As an artist Abby can be described as passionate, dependable, and emotional. She is trained in Meisner, Shakespeare, and Chekov, in addition to musical theater. She has performed in several musicals and Shakespeare plays at Ohio University and has even performed in Italy at the Trentino Music Festival. 

 

When not performing Abby loves to travel and see new places. She is a lover of astrology. She is a Capricorn sun, Libra moon, and Taurus rising (she deeply identifies with all 3!). She loves shopping & thrifting, putting avocado on everything, and watching trashy reality tv.
